How to install IKO thrust bearings

Source: FAG bearings  Tags: News

IKO thrust bearings are highly rigid bearings with precision-machined cages and rollers that can be used in small spaces and have the ability to withstand heavy loads.

This type of bearing has thrust needle roller bearings using needle rollers, thrust roller bearings using cylindrical rollers and various track wheels, which can be selected according to working conditions.

If the bearing mounting surface of the machine can be used as a track surface after heat treatment and grinding, the track wheel can be omitted, which is more compact. It is also suitable for high-speed rotation and variable heavy loads, so it is suitable for parts requiring high precision such as automobile drive mechanisms, machine tools, and high-pressure pumps.

Pay attention to the following items when installing thrust bearings:

1. If the inner ring and outer ring are not used, the raceway surface needs to ensure a proper effective hardened layer depth with a surface hardness of 58~64HRC, and the surface finish is required to be less than 0.2μmRa.

2. If the inner ring and outer ring are installed on the shaft and shaft hole, please refer to the dimension table for the installation relationship. In addition, the mounting surface needs to be machined at a right angle to make it sufficiently rigid.

3. The side of the thin track ring AS needs to be in contact with each other evenly to prevent elastic deformation. The slight warpage of the AS unit is corrected when the load axis is aligned.

4. Thrust roller bearings are a combination of copper alloy and cylindrical rollers, so when using AZK as a single body, be careful of deformation and scratches.
